Bolingbrook Women's Club

The mission of the Bolingbrook Women's Club is to provide a network in which women, either new to the community or life-long residents, can associate and gain friendships, join in organized social events, and promote community involvement through fund-raising efforts.

Membership
Monthly Meetings - All members are encouraged to attend general monthly meetings. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at Fire Station #4, 1111 West Boughton Road (Boughton and Weber) at 7:30pm. It's a great opportunity to socialize with the other members and stay current with club business.
General Information - The club year runs from October through May with monthly meetings and various activities. In September, we kick off the year with our Wine & Cheese Social and end with a closing banquet in June. While there are no general meetings in July or August, we do participate in the Village Picnic and other summer events. Dues are $30 for the entire year and entitle members to advertise any business or personal interest in our newsletter, and attend events and parties. The club is non-profit and all money goes toward operating expenses. Prospective members may attend one general meeting and one event as a guest; after that, we ask that dues be paid in full to obtain membership.
Activities
- Ladies' Night Out - As much as we all enjoy spending time with our families, sometimes it's nice to get out with the girls. Dinners, movies, and fun activities like pajama parties and beading nights are some of the things we do together.
- Cooking Club - Isn't it nice to try something new? Theme-potlucks are really fun ways to try a new cuisine with some friends.
- Holiday parties - Halloween, Christmas and Easter are great times to get together with our families and enjoy some fun time. Food, games and visits from special 'friends' are always included.
- Couples' Night Out - Of course, we include those 'significant others' in our activities, too. A Progressive Dinner and poker/game night are two of our special events.
Special Interests
- Bolingbrook Chamber of Commerce - As a member of the chamber, all BWC members get to participate in various functions such as ribbon cuttings, monthly luncheons, golf outings, award ceremonies, etc. This is a great way to keep up with all the activity in our growing community and socialize with village officials and local business owners.
- Mardi Gras - Each February, the BWC hosts a Mardi Gras fund-raiser to benefit a local non-profit organization.
- Village Picnic and Pathways Parade - We always participate in these two wonderful village events in June and September. At the picnic, we have a booth to meet new members and at the parade we sell Frito Pies! Yum!
